Overwatch League Roster Announcements, 08/01-08/22

We are excited to present the Overwatch League official team roster announcements for August 1 – August 22, 2017. Season 1 teams include Boston, London, Los Angeles (Kroenke), Los Angeles (Whinston), Miami-Orlando, New York, San Francisco, Seoul, and Shanghai, and the official player signing window is open until October 30, 2017. Congratulations to the signed players and their new teams!

We would like to share an update on age eligibility requirements for players in the Overwatch League. Players must be 18 years old in order to compete in the Overwatch League. Players who are not yet 18 but will turn 18 before April 5, 2018 may still sign contracts (together with their parent or legal guardian) and practice with Overwatch League teams for Season 1, but they cannot play in Overwatch League games until they turn 18. See our post on player signings, salaries, and more for additional information about competing in the Overwatch League.

The Seoul team made the following announcements on August 21, 2017:

  • Kim ‘EscA’ In-Jae from South Korea was signed to the Season 1 roster.
  • Ryu ‘ryujehong’ Je-Hong from South Korea was signed to the Season 1 roster.
  • Yang ‘Tobi’ Jin-Mo from South Korea was signed to the Season 1 roster.
  • Gong ‘Miro’ Jin-Hyuk from South Korea was signed to the Season 1 roster.
  • Kim ‘Zunba’ Joon-Hyuk from South Korea was signed to the Season 1 roster.
  • Moon ‘Gido’ Gi-Do from South Korea was signed to the Season 1 roster.
  • Baek Kwang-Jin from South Korea was announced as a head coach.
  • Chae Ho-Jung from South Korea was announced as a head coach.
