We asked Overwatch League players to tell us how they’ve been spending their time away from the bright lights and high stakes of the big stage:

Young-Jin “Gamsu” Noh, Boston Uprising

I visited Jeju Island with my family. Also, I hiked highest mountain in South Korea—Hallasan—with my brother.

Joona “Fragi” Laine, Philadelphia Fusion

After returning to Finland after the Overwatch League Grand Finals, I have mostly been practicing for the Overwatch World Cup with Team Finland. Apart from that, I visited my family and friends after not seeing them in more than half a year.

Byung-Sun “Fleta” Kim, Seoul Dynasty

I was practicing. During Chuseok, I spent time with my friends and family.

Kyle “KSF” Frandanisa, Los Angeles Valiant

I went home and visited my family for a little while. I live in Washington, but I had never gone up the Space Needle, which was cool to finally do. But then I came back early to grind for the 2019 Overwatch League season.

Weida “Diya” Lu, Shanghai Dragons

After returning home, I didn’t go anywhere. Most of the time, I was at home—sometimes, I went out to have meals or watch a movie with friends and family. Also, a few times, I livestreamed Overwatch in order to keep my game sharp.

Chan-Hyung “Fissure” Baek, Seoul Dynasty

I’m spending my time practicing and streaming.

Fissure against Carpe with Widow

Indy “Space” Halpern, Los Angeles Valiant

I haven’t gotten a chance to head back to New York, but I’ve been competing with Team USA for the Overwatch World Cup and streaming in Los Angeles.

Matthew “Super” DeLisi, San Francisco Shock

I went home at the beginning of the offseason after Team USA tryouts for about two months. During that time, we went to North Carolina for about a week with my cousins and my grandmother.

Lucas “Note” Meissner, Boston Uprising

I haven't really done many interesting things during the offseason. The main thing so far has been participating in the Overwatch World Cup as a member of Team Canada.

Alberto “Neptuno” González Molinillo, Philadelphia Fusion

I'm spending my holidays in Spain. I attended my brother’s wedding and I’ve been hanging out with my friends, playing Overwatch, going to the gym, and playing soccer.

Jin-Mo “Tobi” Yang, Seoul Dynasty

I was resting at home, and now I’m practicing again.

Se-Yeon “Geguri” Kim, Shanghai Dragons

Staying at home, playing Overwatch, eating Korean food, going to the countryside to visit my grandma, and livestreaming.

Grant “Moth” Espe, San Francisco Shock

After the regular season ended, I went back to Minnesota to visit my parents. I came back to Burbank in August to scrim for World Cup Group Stages.

Scott “Custa” Kennedy, Los Angeles Valiant

I went to Australia for two weeks to see family and friends. Then I went to Bangkok for the World Cup Group Stage. Recently, I spent two weeks at home taking some time off.

Kristian “Kellex” Keller, Boston Uprising

I have been back home in Denmark, spending time with my friends and family.

Sang-Beom “Munchkin” Byun, Seoul Dynasty

I’m exercising during the offseason to improve my health.

Aaron “Bischu” Kim, Los Angeles Gladiators

I haven't done anything too interesting so far in the offseason. I went to Korea to visit my family, got health checkups, and played in the Overwatch League All-Star Game afterwards! Other than that, I've mainly been just working out, playing games, and spending time with my girlfriend.

Je-Hong “Ryujehong” Ryu, Seoul Dynasty

I spent my break with my parents at home.

João Pedro “Hydration” Goes Telles, Los Angeles Gladiators

I've spent the offseason mostly practicing both for Team USA and for the 2019 Overwatch League season. I also went back home to North Carolina to visit my friends and family.

Joon-Hyeok “Zunba” Kim, Seoul Dynasty

I went to Japan and ate tasty food.

Pan-Seung “Fate” Koo, Los Angeles Valiant

I went to Japan for vacation after the World Cup Group Stage in Incheon. I was there for three days; it was so good and fun. Lots of good food and adventures.
