For the second year in a row, two Overwatch League teams got the chance to rep their home cities and root for their company siblings—the Boston Uprising are owned by the same group as the New England Patriots, and the same goes for the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Gladiators—in the NFL championship game. On Sunday, the Gladiators hosted the Uprising for an afternoon of food, football, and a couple of very good dogs.
The Uprising, who met Super Bowl MVP Julian Edelman when they toured the Patriots facility earlier this winter, got the last laugh over the hometown Rams hopefuls when New England beat LA 13-3 to claim their sixth Super Bowl victory. The Gladiators can return the favor on May 3 when the two teams face off for the only time this season.
